What to expect on a YucaTreks tour

Expect a friendly face picking you up at your accomodations. Expect a fun day filled with adventure, education and local sights. Expect to have the details taken care of. Know that you will leave with great memories and a desire to experience more on your next trip to the Riviera Maya.

YucaTreks tours are exclusive. We only entertain small groups on our tours ranging from 12 to 16 people  For this very reason, our tours can fill up quickly so we encourage you to book in advance before you arrive on vacation. We would hate for you to miss out on one of our great days. They are designed with you in mind.

What to bring and what we provide

We look after all the details, but do need you to bring appropriate footwear and clothing. We recommend comfortable walking shoes, a hat, biodegradable suntan lotion, a bathing suit and towel. If you are hoping to shop at the local stores we introduce you to, Mexican pesos are recommended. Credit cards are not accepted at small shops in the area.

Your tour includes transportation, entrance fees to local attractions, your guide, snorkel equipement, lunch, snacks and drinks. Our sense of humor, local insights and laughter is always included in each tour.

Shared tour or Private tour – which option is best for me?

We have various tour options that will cater to your situation. Shared tours are small groups of couples, single travellers and small families who want to explore local sights with others. This is an economical way to join a YucaTreks tour and become apart of our family. Tours have a defined schedule on pre-determined days. This enable us to gather a fun group of people with shared interests and passions. We like to think of our shared tours as our ‘signature tours’ that seem to be the most popular. We love the shared tour option as we find a diverse group encourages people to contribute to each others vacations by exchanging experiences and knowledge. The best part is we find friendships are made by the end of the day. With such small groups, we will meet others who want to tell their Riviera Maya stories.

Private tours have more flexibility and enable groups of friends and families to share a fun day together. Note that all of our tours can be booked at private tours. There is not limit to what we can do if you are looking to arrange a day for your family and friends. We have suggested 4 additonal private tours, what we like to think of as custom tours, that are great for anyone’s vacation experience. What our tour groups love about our private tours is that they lead you beyond our signature tours and deeper into highlights of the area.
