Yucatreks tours are designed to give you a fun day of culture, history and natural wonders. What kind of tours are these you ask? Basically, we do tours for people who don’t do tours! Look at us as your friends, who live here, taking you out on a great day of fun and adventure!

Yucatreks tours are exclusive, we only take small groups (on average 12 or less, maximum 16 people) and the tours fill up pretty fast. This means that if you are interested, you should book as soon as possible. Wait too long and you may miss out!

Yucatreks tours are a whole different experience than the 'cattle' tours - it's more like if a friend showed you around. We make them special by taking you to some places where other tours don't go, and we add a lot of local knowledge and flavor to the day.

Our tours are designed to be quite different, so if you'd like to go on two (or all) of them, you will not have any repeats.

More elaborate itineraries can be found via the following links to individual tour pages.

WHICH TOUR SHOULD I CHOOSE?

The Sea to Cenote tour is a very exclusive experience. You'll visit an underground cavern and river system in pristine condition deep in the Yucatan jungle. We’ll start by zip lining into one of its huge dry caverns! We’ll walk through this massive underground cavern, decorated with awesome limestone columns, stalagtites and stalagmites and exit out of another giant hole in the jungle! You will snorkel a breathtaking cenote and its water filled passages, guided by your professional guide. It is a truly unique experience and this is only the morning! After a tasty bar-b-q lunch, Mayan style, we leave this jungle sanctuary and head to beautiful Tankah Bay for some more snorkel fun! Here we will snorkel the famous Cenote Manatee, in its beautiful mangrove surroundings, and off the beach around the “ojo de agua or water eye”, where its river system empties into the sea.

The Coba Treasures tour invites you to explore what was one of the largest ancient Mayan Cities in the Mayan world. The visit to Coba is the main object to this tour, and we will spend over 2 hours at the site. You will be guided through the shady paths of this site with an estimated 6,5oo ruins hidden by 500 years of jungle growth. Here you'll have the opportunity to climb, Nohoch Mul, the tallest Mayan pyramid in Mexico (the tallest is in Tikal, Guatemala). The cave/cenote we visit in the afternoon is truly spectacular. A traditional Yucatecan meal follows and a visit to a handicraft shop owned by a delightful family in one of Mayan villages on the way back. You should choose this tour if you're extra interested in learning more about the Maya and if you want to visit a wild, largely un-excavated ruined city in the middle of the jungle.

The Tulum and Beyond excursion is a one of a kind day filled with adventure! The incredible view of El Castillo perched atop a cliff overlooking the Caribbean, is a must see in everyone’s visit to the Riviera Maya! We explore the ruins of Tulum, swim or snorkel in two of the area’s most beautiful cenotes, including Grand Cenote, and enjoy a tasty picnic lunch on a secluded stretch of breathtaking beach - kind of a “best of” tour for the Mayan Riviera. Tulum is a great archaeological site to visit, but is not the main focus of the tour - just a part of it. This tour is a perfect mix of stops guaranteed to give you some of the best the area has to offer!

The Chichen Itza/Valladolid excursion gives you a chance to see what just may be one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in the world! Chichen Itza was declared on July 7, 2007 as one of the New Seven Ancient Wonders of the World. It is home to the famous Pyramid of Kukulcan, the Temple of 1000 Columns and the largest most impressive ballcourt ever found in Mesoamerica! After our visit to the ruins, we will stop for a swim at one of the areas spectacular cenotes. We end our day with a tempting selection of local cuisine next to the zocalo, or town center, in the beautiful colonial town of Valladolid.
